    First Strike!

if he's on cricket strike i wouldn't go near wax worms, they are a once in a while treat and if you give him one of those you may find thats all he wants and make it worse. my veiled Dave stop eating crickets so i swapped them out for locusts he likes them and chows down on them, they also go...

    New cage

currently i have no drainage but you can get "flexitrays" which collect the water at the bottom and bodge a system from that. TBH i find that i mist every leave on every plant and due to the flexy being fully mesh it all evaporates within a few hours suprisingly no real mess. But my dave seems...

    New cage

dave hey hey thats a nice looking set up, mine is similar, same flexi and a yemen called dave lol. i found that my Dave's attitude changed since he moved in to the flexi he's a bit more reluctant to be handled now and when the mister comes out he legs it to the back of the flexi  i do...

    Exo rain forests

yes the substrate in mine was removed after a few weeks it took more upkeep than the rest of the viv!! gnats were a problem with it and lots of little mold patches. i must admit though my yemen liked this viv but sadly its just too small when they grow up, good for juvies though

    Exo rain forests

i have used them for around 7 months now without issue, according to they're (exoterra) website they don't produce UVB light with a wavelength below 300 (doesn't occur in nature) and these wavelengths i believe are the cause of the CFL issues. i bought my first cham kit from exoterra from an LRS...

    Silkworms in the U.K

im not too sure what size "micro" is but im allowing a month for them to grow around 2" i may be wrong though i have read 1-1 1/2 weeks from hatchling to an inch and the same again for another 1" total of 2" but in my experience things always take longer than i think lol Question: could i...

Which insect is the easiest to breed?

im afraid wax worms shouldn't be more than 3 a week they are like chocolate to them (very fatty and low nutritional value) and i found too many wax worms makes my yemen a food snob and wont touch anything else. i roll them in calcium powder and give him one every 2-3 days to try getting mine to...
